Director of Engineering and Facilities - Bend, OR
Overview:
Our client is a successful and established company in Central Oregon that specializes in preparing clinical supplies of novel drug formulations using enabling new technologies in a cGMP quality environment. The Director of Engineering, Facilities, and EH&S will report to the Vice President of Operations as well as manage the Facilities and Engineering groups.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing and monitoring best-in-class Equipment Management Program which includes: management of the facilities, equipment, systems, preventative and predictive maintenance, controls/ instrumentations, energy/electrical engineering, and E, H
• Manage new equipment projects including the design, installation, commissioning, validation, and budget
• Make recommendations to management to resolve maintenance issues, perform operations troubleshooting and identify improvements• Set up of relevant systems for new customer parts
• Perform and report trending analysis on alarms, preventative maintenance, calibrations
• Communicate equipment status, work schedules and production issues effectively with associates, management, suppliers and contractors
• Manage Maintenance and Calibration Program
• Manage the monitoring and maintenance of the Building Automation System and alarms
• Manage On-Call Program
• Lead for Engineering Change Control
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline (e.g. chemical, electrical), mechanical preferred
• 5 plus years experience in biotech/ pharmaceutical engineering required with certification in facilities management a plus
• Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on, detailed work, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, Microsoft Project and Building Automation Systems preferred
• PPE required for handling hazardous materials, electrical hazards, etc.
