Global IT and Applications Manager - Bend, OR
Overview:
Our client, based in Bend, Oregon, is a diversified profitable company with an environmental focus that provides products and services to the commercial agriculture market. The company's principal products, unlike most conventional products of this nature, are non-toxic to humans and animals, leave no harmful residues, do not contaminate groundwater and do not disrupt beneficial insect populations.
The Global IT Manager is responsible for our client’s global IT functions including Helpdesk, Network Management, Application Strategy and Support and Communications Tools. In addition, this position will further develop and align the Global IT organization to support strategic objectives and global expansion. This position supports the business with the adequate global systems and infrastructure to ensure effective and reliable communication and ERP functionality.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing and managing information systems security, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Direct global IT department’s personnel activity – for remote employees together with local supervisors, including job assignment, training, performance evaluation and compensation review.
• Manage internal and external IT resources.
• Develop and implement global information systems policies and procedures.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to the use of information systems for all employees.
• Maintains and further develops company’s global system and application strategy.
• Sources and provides adequate IT training for user base as needed.
• Manage global and local IT budget and align with strategic objectives.
• IT asset management.
• Develop and maintain a systems disaster recovery plan.
• Plan, implement and maintain company’s global information systems security strategy.
• Research, evaluate and implement technology that will maintain a high level of company effectiveness in the area of information management. Includes reading industry publications, attending relevant industry seminars/meetings, and networking with other IT managers across the industry in order to stay abreast of industry trends and to remain technically proficient. Network with Roll corporate IT community.
• Provide strategic leadership to global IT function.
• Additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
• A four-year college degree and 8+ years of work experience with information systems.
• 5 + years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Global IT Management experience preferred.
• Technical skills to provide leadership to help desk and network administration
• Able to evaluate recommend and implement technology trends, beneficial hardware and / or software.
• Systems background, MS Dynamics experience strongly preferred.
• Project Management skills.
