Electrical Manufacturing Engineer - Bend, OR

Overview:
Electrical manufacturing engineer is responsible for supporting production and new product development efforts to improve quality and reliability while reducing the product cost.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with engineering for new product development to improve quality, reliability and cost
• Support new product development efforts by providing DFX input and manage and lead transition of new products into manufacturing
• Ensure part specifications and documents are complete and procurable before releasing to manufacturing
• Ensure accuracy of BOM (bill of material) and AVL (approved vendor list)
• Create process documents and technical specifications
• Support engineering proto build
• Develop test fixtures and tools that can improve production efficiency and quality
• Support procurement to improve part quality and reduce cost
• Develop, implement and improve production processes
• Implement SPC where applicable
• Investigate technical problems and establish procedures and corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Identify design driven cost reduction opportunities
• On-going effort to improve quality and reliability of our products
• Ensure drawing and process document revision controls are properly managed
• Improve work flow efficiency and minimize non-value added activities
• Investigate production process issues and non-conforming material issues
• Manage product life-cycle phases

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing
• Experience in project management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative management style
• Sound decision making and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
