Environmental Remediation Engineer - Northwest Offices
Overview:
Our client, located throughout the Pacific Northwest, is a full-service science and engineering consulting firm providing multidisciplinary services in the fields of environmental assessment, remediation, and redevelopment; environmental chemistry, geology and hydrology; toxicology; and physical, health, atmospheric, aquatic, ecological, and natural resource sciences in the U.S., Canada, and abroad.
They are currently seeking both mid- and senior-level engineers for their Northwest offices.
Responsibilities:
• Site characterization studies
• Feasibility studies
• Numerical modeling
• Engineering analysis
• Preparation of design plans and specifications
• Permitting support
• Construction monitoring
• Project management
Required Qualifications:
• B.S. or M.S. degree in geotechnical, coastal, environmental, chemical, civil, or related engineering field, with a P.E. license (or eligibility)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in characterization, management, and remediation of contaminated sediments
• Applied knowledge of sediment dredging, disposal, capping, and treatment methods, natural recovery, river and estuary restoration and associated regulatory requirements is highly desired
• Experience relating to contaminated soil and groundwater and stormwater management is desirable
• Positions may also involve active participation in business development activities
• AutoCAD skills are also a plus
